Surprise Kayaking!

Another part of my birthday surprise was kayaking! We took a kayaking tour with a guide along the water, there was a possibility of seeing whales but we had no such luck.

We did see seals, giant one-footed snail things, sea grass, sea anemone, starfish, 24 leg starfish, jellyfish, and schools of fish! and a lighthouse,and had lunch on the beach.

Our guide was fantastic and would point it all out and even handed us the giant snail thing, told us we could eat the bulb kelp (we all took a bite- tastes like satly lettuce), pet the starfish and she told lots of good stories.

At times we were against the wind and had to put in some work but at other times we cruised along starring down into the water trying to discover things. We had a truly fantastic time!
Hubs now wants to take up kayaking :)
