I wanted to make something that was different and would appeal to the people who don't love dessert or who don't want baked goods & this is what I came up with to make.
(It's based off of a recipe I found but it's source is now long gone)
3 tbs olive oil
1 tbs lavender buds
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
for glaze:
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tbs lavender buds
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbs milk
8 oz white chocolate
purple sugar sprinkles
1 1/2 hour - 2 hours before popping the corn put the oil in a small
bowl and add the lavender buds
2 once it has sat strain out the buds and pour oil in a large skillet
3 turn stove on medium-high and pour in oil, also add in 3 popcorn kernels
and cover with a lid
4 once the oil is hot and those 3 kernels have popped put the rest of the
popcorn kernels in and cover with lid
5 shake it back and forth occasionally and remove from heat when it has
all popped
6 lay out a long sheet of parchment paper and spread the popcorn out on it
7 in a small bowl whisk together glaze ingredients
8 drizzle over the popcorn
9 melt the white chocolate and also drizzle it over the popcorn
10 shake sprinkles over it
11 let the chocolate dry and serve, I made little parchment paper
baggies to put mine in
Don't worry I also made other things for the bake sale: those up next
:)
I have to make this! I love white chocolate and popcorn!
