This Saturday we headed out to the mountians. We were a little weary at first because in Seattle there was quite a bit of fog, we wanted to snowshoe but when we got to the rental place they were out. So at first we were a little bummed, I'm so glad we persevered though because as we were driving out to a different hike our friends told us about all of the sudden we instantly broke through the fog and into the sunshine. Our moods were drastically changed and it turned out to be a beautiful day with clear views.
We hiked the Serene Lake Trail. It was mostly snowy the whole way. We had to climb on all 4's at some points to make it up the hills and around the ledges. We didn't make it all the way to the lake because the trail became icy snowballs and then a giant ledge of snow and Joshua hates heights so we ended it there. But we ended it with the view below which was stunning!
It is another part of this hike we went on and below is just another part of those falls.
At the end of the hike, our friends that told us about the hike and also hiked there that day, went out to celebrate our friendship anniversary :)
We met them 1 year ago when they first moved here and started working with Joshua. So we went and had margaritas and fries at the place we hung out at first. Fun night! Awesome thing to be able to celebrate!
