We made a calendar

Happy Valentines Day!
&

The past few months at work have been hard for me. I've been feeling a little stuck and alone.Thankfully I've had Joshua, friends, and a great! coworker who have made it be much better than it could have. And even more thankfully God answers prayers. My project got put on hold for a few months which is now allowing me to go onto another project and it is what I've been waiting for. I feel like I can really learn something working on this new job, and there are other interiors people on the job so I can also finally learn from them. I get to move my desk to the upstairs which has height adjustable desks (the little things :) And we finally hired 2 other young interior designers, so I'm not the only one under 30. What's even cooler is one of the girls has asked me to go walking with her during lunch. So it had felt like God has answered so many of my, and all the other amazing people who were praying, work prayers. I'm so thankful for this opportunity and this change. It came at the perfect time and also taught me a lot about myself while I struggled with it. Now hoperully I can do this new work well, kind of nervous.]

But while I was frustrated and down I came up with things to do during my lunch hour that made me happy, made me feel like I was creating something. So over a few months I started illustrating a calendar. And hubs helped me make it a reality and made the frame to hold it up. I'm really proud of it so I wanted to share.

September and March are my favorites I think

swoon!

Christmas Card

Hope you like our first Christmas card. Makes us feel so grown up.
Plus it was fun to design. Now I just have to find a post office
that hasn't run out of Christmasy stamps yet.

The flower on our card is a ranunculus, a winter flower, and I was really tempeted to put
"Have a ranunculus Christmas"
I'll translate it down for you in case you don't get it :)
Translation 1: Have a ridunculous Christmas,
Translation 2: Have a ridiculous Christmas,
Translation 3: Have a great Christmas.

I thought it was funny :) and it made sense to Joshua and me

The other day hubs said he really liked our cards. I said thanks, pretty sure he was just being supportive. But he got mad that I didn't believe him and said "no really I love them, I think they are so great. You're good. I'm not telling you to make you feel good I really think you're a good, creative designer. I love them"
That's all I need right there. I love that he believes in me. Whether I'm good at it or not him truly liking it and supporting me is a blessing I never want to take for granted!

Hope you're having a good December. We're busily trying to find presents for our families (and ones with free shipping :).

the Twins are NINTEEN

My youngest siblings are 19 today! (o my goodness, I need a few deep breaths)
I remember sneaking into my parents room while they were napping so I could hold them standing up (my parents said I had to sit-I was only 4 so naturally I disagreed), playing gymnastics in our basement and Colton trying to pick up a pillow bigger than him and falling over, Erika and I would always play school and she would beg for me to make up homework for her- Now they just ran off to college- Colton is studying computer science & Erika is studying nursing.
We think about them all the time and wonder what they are up to.
We miss them oodles but are so glad that they are finding their way in college and hopefully having a blast.

so HAPPY BIRTHDAY my twins
I hope you have a fantabulous day full of laughter, cake, and wishes
Joshua & I are thinking of you!!!
