No plans, plans / sharing

Thats' what Joshua calls the weekends where we just want to let something unfold without forcing a lot of planning and scheduling into it. It's how we did our honeymoon as well and something we've been trying harder to allow time for.

This weekend we had drinks with a couple that just moved here. It ended up being the 4 of us sitting there for 3 hours chatting and laughing. We had silly conversations but by the end we had a long really great conversation about being a christian out in Seattle and being a christian while married. Those nights leave us feeling so rejuvinated and we are so glad they happened to come over into our neighborhood that night.
Also we had lunch after church with a guy we just met. He asked us to go to lunch- and we could and it rocked! I think so many times we plan who we're eating with or what grocery store we are going to after chuch that we don't leave room for the unexpected and this awesome guy just proved to us how important it was to allow that.

God is really teaching us how to allow for some of our time to be His and just become something more than we could have imagined or rigidly planned. But also in our un-planned time He keeps giving us conversations that become intentional and require Joshua and I to say what we believe but even more than that- why we believe it. It's something neither of us have been awesome at.
It is so easy to just have the silly fun conversations, but we have met up with so many people recently that won't let us get away with that and man it's HARD but also WOW it is powerful and such a time of learning for us.
God is really throwing these moments at us and teaching us to not let them pass us by and how much you can say through very little as long as you say it sincerly and with intention. Pray that we can allow Him to teach us this and that we can be willing to be interupted. (something that has been on our minds more and more through what we've heard at church and in our quiet times together)

Have an amazing week!

Some pictures from our weekend
YES Katy Perry Record- Don't judge :)

I was reading over his shoulder but I read fast so at one point this is what he said to me:
Joshua: This is how it's gonna be- I'm going to keep reading at my own pace and I'm not going to ask you to read slowe,r but I am going to ask you to read your own book

Me: rolling with laughter- ah he kills me, FUNNY
