We struggled to find a campsite the night before and ended up hiking right by the trailhead up the road a bit. We're trying to put Roslyn to sleep when we hear all this commotion and noise. Then it became more distinct and realized it was mooing. There was a herd of free range cows passing by our van, the had spotted the van and were very weary. It provided quite the nighttime entertainment.
Early the next morning we headed to Fairy lake. This lake was just a nice morning flat walk around it. We added to it a bit by hiking up into the wildflower fields, to beautiful to resist. Again, we had it mostly to ourselves.
Roslyn was a bit grumpy which we found quite amusing as we were sitting in the sunshine among mounds of bright happy wildflowers.
We struggled to find a campsite and kept half pulling into pull offs to find they were occupied. We said we'd try down this dirt road only a little farther, and bam the most perfect camp spot right by the water and it was all ours. The sun was starting to go down and the lighting and baby were just perfect!
